2021 Regional Meeting: Partnership Summit

Summit dates have been set and will take place at one of our four locations in July for an update on the status of the Pool. Topics include: rates for the 21/22 Fund Year and  what events have affected them, the state of the commercial market, resources and services that can assist Members with property losses,  Loss Prevention resources, and much more. Registration at each meeting is limited to 50 people, so sign up now! Click here to RSVP. The Pool will have a virtual session available for anyone not able to go to the in-person meetings.

Hurricane Preparedness

June 1 marks the start of hurricane season in Texas. Here are some resources to help you stay safe and prepared.

To protect citizens and property, understand your organization's vulnerabilities. TMLIRP has a guide to help Members review resiliency and prepare for recovery - Preparing for Natural Disasters and Emergencies: Guidance from Your Risk Pool.

The guide also has information on how TMLIRP can assist your entity to stabilize and repair property in a covered loss.

We encourage you to review the guide and share with appropriate personnel. The Risk Pool partners with local governments so that they are stronger together and this resource identifies information to assist Members.

2021 Regular Legislative Session: TML Bill Summaries Available Now

Wondering what new laws are effective now or will take effect on September 1st?  The Texas Municipal League has prepared a summary of every city-related bill passed during the regular legislative session.  Check out the June 11, 2021, edition of TML’s Legislative Update to learn more.  Risk Pool staff will be preparing a summary document with bills most relevant to Pool Members soon.  Look for it here in a future edition.
