Meet our newest Board Members A Quick Look at Legislative Bills of Interest to Pool Members The City of Wylie’s Safety Liaison Program Service In Focus: Safer in Seconds YouTube Series    News and Information  Risk Pool members have already been hit with hailstorms this year. TMLIRP is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members, Opal Mauldin-Jones (Place 9) and Brad Stafford (Place 4).  Read our latest posts on the TMLIRP blog. Reminder that the Pool will not be sending out rerate exposure summaries to members (with the exception of a small group). Please continue to update your schedules through the portal or by contacting your MSM. The underwriting department has started processing rerates and will send renewal information as quickly as possible. Be on the lookout for more information regarding rates and renewals in the coming week.       Texas Legislature: A Quick Pool-Related Update  With only weeks remaining in the regular Texas legislative session, few of the 7,000 filed bills will make it to the governor’s desk. Click here for a quick look at bills of interest to Pool members that are moving through the process.       Member Spotlight City of Wylie The City of Wylie’s Safety Liaison Program, comprised of employees from each department, has become a successful, proactive endeavor, assisting the City and departments with continuous evaluation of safety and training efforts. Read more here.         Service In Focus TMLIRP's Safer In Seconds Series on YouTube TMLIRP’s Safer in Seconds vidoes on YouTube are intended to be a conversational tool about working safely and to contribute to members’ proactive safety culture. The goal is to engage member supervisors and employees by providing real world examples and tips to lower the risk of injuries and property damage.   The videos can be meeting starters, individual reminders, or pathways to learning more about risk management issues that affect local governments. Bottom line – we want everyone to go home at the end of their workdays as good or better than they arrived. We partner with our members to protect employees, citizens, and property.    The videos are also an introduction into TMLIRP’s longer training for in-person groups.   Click here to view this series on Youtube.   Cyber Security Awareness Training It’s time to complete your annual cyber training. The annual cyber training requirement is due to the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) by June 15.
